Job Description

We are looking for a versatile backend engineer with strong experience in the

Shopify ecosystem

and hands-on skills in

AI/LLM development

. This role will drive multiple new AI features across our ecommerce platform -- including intelligent search, automation, personalization, and customer support enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering (Shopify-Focused)

Design, build, and maintain backend services for Shopify apps. Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, Webhooks, OAuth, metafields, and app extensions. Handle data sync, automation workflows, and store-side functionality. Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architecture.

AI Feature Development (General)

Work on multiple AI-driven features such as:

AI search

(semantic search, recommendations, product intent matching).

AI customer support tools

(chatbots, automation, FAQ retrieval).

AI personalization

(smart product suggestions, dynamic content).

AI content generation

(descriptions, emails, banners).

AI data intelligence

(analytics, predictions, insights).

General Engineering Responsibilities

Build APIs, microservices, and integrations with external services. Work with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval systems. Optimize workflows and improve platform reliability. Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong backend development experience (

Python,

or similar). Solid understanding of the

Shopify backend ecosystem

and app lifecycle. Experience with

LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.)

, embeddings, vector search. Knowledge of building and deploying

microservices

and APIs. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases. Good debugging, optimization, and architectural skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
