Customer Support techs - More focus on circuit repair for IP/Ethernet customer circuits.
Network Support Techs - More focus on vendor platform hands on experience with monitoring and repair of network equipment. Needs experience with underlying customer circuit deployments.
Required Skills:
3-5 Years Telecommunication experience on Ethernet IP platforms with an understanding of SONET, SDH, Telco, FTT and DWDM Networks.
Experienced in troubleshooting Routing (bgp, mpls, isis), switching, vlans, fiber networks on DWDM/SDH and Ethernet Networks.
Multi-vendor environment experience essential including Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, ADVA, Alcatel, Nokia, Infinera, Fujitsu.
Able to perform RFC 2544 tests and troubleshoot fiber issues by performing OTDR with help of field.
NOC environment experience is preferred. Professional certifications preferred (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia).
Familiarity with Assure, Salesforce systems.
Document work efforts and troubleshooting status in trouble ticketing system and perform maintenance/repair activities.
Great customer service skills.
Written and verbal communication in English is a must be able to perform as an individual with minimum supervision.
Typical Years of experience:
