  • Cybercriminals are working on today (Underground and Deepweb, Targeted Attacks / APT and Malware research)
  • How the users / victims are using the web (Social Networks, New emerging services, etc)
  • What technologies are available now and in the future (e.g. IOT, Web3 / Metaverse, Spread of Mobile OS, Blockchain)

The ideal candidate will both have a good understanding of todays cybercrime threat landscape, but also a passion for the underlying technologies of Web3 - and be able to develop research on where we expect new user behavior, technology and criminal business models to evolve to in the period of 1-3 years.

The FTR researcher is also responsible for researching local matters - such as unique user behaviors, crimes or emerging technologies in certain countries. They will be expected to interface with government agencies, law enforcement, ISPs, CERTs, universities and other research groups for research, disclosure, and knowledge sharing.

This position requires the researcher to represent Trend Micro in external conferences, either as an attendee or as a speaker.

As the team is globally distributed the successful candidate must be willing to travel for global meetings and conferences.
