: Job Summary
The Front Office Team Leader ensures smooth operations of the Front Desk, supervises the Front Office team, and delivers exceptional guest service. The role involves handling guest interactions, managing check-ins/outs, resolving issues, and supporting training for junior staff while maintaining HIEX brand standards. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Operations

  • Deliver a warm and efficient check-in and check-out experience.
  • Acknowledge IHG One Rewards members and returning guests.
  • Handle reservations, inquiries, and upselling opportunities.
  • Assist guests with billing, information, complaints, and special requests.
  • Ensure accurate room assignment, key control, and cashiering.
  • Monitor lobby operations and guest flow to maintain smooth service.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and support the Front Office Associates during shifts.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for brand standards and guest service skills.
  • Ensure grooming standards, discipline, and SOP compliance.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Security, Engineering and F&B for daily operations.
Brand Standards & Compliance
  • Follow HIEX and IHG service standards, True Hospitality behaviours, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift handovers.
  • Ensure adherence to cash handling policies and audits.
Problem Solving & Guest Recovery
  • Act as a key escalation point for guest issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Anticipate guest needs and address concerns proactively.
  • Maintain strong communication with management for service issues and improvements.
What We Need From You Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle guest issues with confidence and empathy.
  • Good knowledge of PMS (Opera/Concerto preferred).
  • Leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Smart, professional grooming and positive attitude.
Qualifications
  • Graduate in Hospitality / Any discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Front Office or Guest Service experience; 6 months+ supervisory experience preferred.
  • Tech-savvy, with basic proficiency in computers and billing operations.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long hours.
  • Ability to lift/push objects up to 23 kg when required.
