Job Summary
The
Front Office Supervisor
acts as the bridge between Front Office management and the front desk associates. You will be responsible for overseeing daily Front Office operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and delivering a seamless guest experience. You will lead by example, handling guest grievances, training staff, and managing shift logistics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
Supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Relations teams during the assigned shift.
Ensure smooth Check-in and Check-out processes, strictly adhering to hotel policies and local regulations (C-Form, ID checks).
Manage the duty roster, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
Conduct daily briefings to ensure the team is aware of VIP arrivals, special requests, and occupancy levels.
2. Guest Experience & Recovery
Act as the primary point of contact for guest complaints and escalations during the shift; ensure swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
Personally welcome VIP guests and ensure their preferences are met prior to arrival.
Monitor guest feedback (online and offline) and implement corrective actions immediately.
3. Financial & System Management
Supervise cashiering activities, ensuring accuracy in billing, currency exchange, and cash handling.
Perform shift closings and verify the accuracy of the Night Audit reports.
Proficiently operate the Property Management System (PMS) [e.g., Opera, IDS, Protel] and troubleshoot minor system issues.
4. Team Development
Train new joiners on brand standards, grooming, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Mentor Front Office Associates, providing real-time feedback and conducting performance appraisals.
Ensure the team maintains impeccable grooming and hygiene standards at all times.
5. Inter-departmental Coordination
Coordinate closely with
Housekeeping
to manage room status (early check-ins, late check-outs, room moves).
Communicate with
F&B
and
Engineering
to fulfill guest requests promptly.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum
2-4 years
of experience in the Front Office department, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
Skills:
Excellent command of
English
(verbal and written).
Proficiency in
Hindi
; knowledge of
Kannada
is a significant advantage.
Strong knowledge of Hotel PMS (Opera, IDS, etc.) and MS Office.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Personality:
Groomed, articulate, guest-oriented, and a natural problem solver.
