Role Summary
An MOC Front Office Executive is responsible for receiving and greeting the patients and visitors. Attend phone calls, answer inquiries, and assist patients in filling up documents. Ensure availability of treatment needed for the patient and file and retrieve patient records.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
A) Patient Experience
Should be responsible for receiving and greeting the patients and visitors. Attend phone calls, answer inquiries, and assist patients in filling up documents.
Make appropriate and timely scheduled appointments of patients with correct doctors. The staff must have time management skills, as patients don't like to wait unnecessarily for doctor's consultation.
Reaching out to patients about their appointments and doing regular follow-up phone calls. This is a very important gesture that makes an MOC stand out in terms of reputation.
Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
B) Financial Impact
Ensure that all patients referred by the medical oncologist for financial counselling are properly explained about the financial charges for relevant procedures
Keep proper track of patients who take financial counselling as to get them to take treatment
Ensure 100% accuracy of collected cash
C) Miscellaneous
Maintaining patient records, handling billing/payment records, confidentiality, and maintaining financial records is one of the key responsibilities.
Recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing/ collecting third-party claims.
Complete accurate documentation (MRD paper) of patient visits.
Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance repairs.
Qualifications and Skills
At least a Bachelor's Degree (Any Specialization)
At least two years of Front Office experience in the hospital industry.
Solid communicator
Outstanding interpersonal skills
