Job Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests attending college fairs, open houses, and reception events. This role is responsible for welcoming visitors, managing check-in, providing event information, and ensuring a positive and organized guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet prospective students, families, and guests in a friendly and professional manner
Manage event check-in, registration lists, and name badge distribution
Provide directions, schedules, and general information about the event and campus
Answer basic questions or direct guests to appropriate staff or departments
Maintain a clean, organized reception and registration area
Assist with crowd flow and line management during peak times
Support event staff with administrative or logistical tasks as needed
Communicate issues or special requests to the event coordinator promptly
Required Qualifications
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
Ability to remain organized and calm in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer or tablet skills for check-in systems
Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in reception, customer service, or event support
Ability to work evenings or weekends.
