Key Responsibilities
Greeting and welcoming guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
Performing efficient check-in (registration, room assignment, key issuance) and check-out (settling bills, gathering feedback).
Answering the main switchboard and directing calls appropriately.
Providing information about the hotel's amenities, services, and local attractions (Concierge-like duties).
Handling routine guest requests (e.g., wake-up calls, extra towels, maintenance).
Managing online and phone reservations, including inputting, modifying, and confirming bookings.
Processing payments (cash, card, foreign exchange) accurately and securely.
Maintaining accurate guest records and logs.
Coordinating with the Housekeeping department to check room status and prioritize cleaning.
Communicating with Maintenance regarding any room or facility issues reported by guests.
Upselling hotel services or higher room categories when appropriate.
Front Desk Manager Roles and Responsibilities
The Front Desk Manager is a leadership and operational role. They are responsible for overseeing the entire front office department, managing the team, and ensuring departmental goals are met.
