A Front Office Executive in a hospital is responsible for managing patient queries, handling registration, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations. The role requires excellent communication skills, customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Welcome and guide patients and visitors politely.
Handle patient registration, OP/Consultation cards, and data entry.
Verify patient details and maintain accurate records.
2. Appointment & Scheduling
Manage doctor's appointment schedules.
Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on appointments.
Coordinate with various departments (Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology).
3. Billing & Cash Handling
Generate bills for OP consultations, procedures, and services.
Collect payments (cash, card, UPI) and issue receipts.
Maintain daily cash report and handover.
4. Enquiry Handling
Answer phone calls professionally.
Provide information on doctors, timings, and services.
Guide patients regarding insurance/TPA process if required.
5. Coordination
Communicate with Nursing, Lab, Radiology, and Pharmacy teams.
Update patient flow status to concerned departments.
6. Customer Service
Assist elderly patients/attendants with directions and support.
Handle patient complaints politely and escalate when needed.
Ensure waiting area cleanliness and comfort.
7. Documentation & Records
Maintain files, reports, and patient records.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Update daily MIS reports.
8. Compliance
Follow hospital policies and safety procedures.
Maintain discipline, hygiene, and professional behavior at all times.
