Job Summary
The Front Office Executive is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between departments while maintaining a professional and caring environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient & Visitor Management
Greet patients and visitors courteously and guide them appropriately
Register patients and create/update patient records
Handle patient inquiries in person and over the phone
Coordinate patient appointments and doctor schedules
Front Desk Operations
Manage OPD registrations and issue tokens/cards
Collect and handle patient documents and reports
Maintain front office registers and records
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Communication & Coordination
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing, and other departments
Inform patients about hospital services, procedures, and charges
Handle patient complaints politely and escalate when required
Billing & Cash Handling (if applicable)
Assist with billing-related queries
Collect consultation fees and issue receipts
Coordinate with the billing department
Administrative Duties
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Follow hospital policies and NABH/JCI standards
Prepare daily reports and submit to superiors
Required Skills & Competencies
Good communication skills (English, Tamil/Hindi preferred)
Patient-friendly attitude and interpersonal skills
Basic computer knowledge (HIS, MS Office)
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Professional appearance and behavior
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate / Diploma (any discipline)
1-3 years of experience in hospital or healthcare front office preferred
Freshers with good communication skills may apply
