Position Summary:



The Front Office Executive - Billing & Enquiry is responsible for managing front desk operations, patient enquiries, and billing activities. This role ensures smooth patient flow from entry to exit, accurate billing, proper communication, and professional customer service. The candidate will be trained and assigned to both

Billing

and

Enquiry/Reception

based on daily requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Front Office / Enquiry Responsibilities



Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants politely. Handle patient enquiries regarding services, doctor availability, and hospital procedures. Perform patient registration, appointment booking, and token generation. Attend and route incoming calls to concerned departments. Guide patients to appropriate departments such as Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, IPD, etc. Support admission and discharge processes by assisting patients with forms and directions. Maintain front desk cleanliness and ensure a welcoming environment.

Billing Responsibilities



Generate bills for consultations, procedures, diagnostics, pharmacy items, admissions, and packages. Collect payments through cash, card, or UPI and issue receipts accurately. Coordinate with the insurance/TPA desk for pre-authorizations, claims, and approvals when needed. Ensure accuracy in bill entries, discounts (if applicable), and required documentation. Prepare daily cash collection reports and handover to accounts as per protocol. Support discharge billing and ensure completion of final settlement without delay.

Coordination & Documentation



Maintain daily enquiry logs, appointment sheets, and billing records. Coordinate closely with doctors, nurses, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and IP departments for smooth workflow. Ensure proper handling and confidentiality of patient data and documents. Assist MRD in movement of case sheets, discharge summaries, and test reports.

Required Skills & Attributes



Female candidates are preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic billing knowledge (training provided for freshers). Computer proficiency: MS Office & hospital management software. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance, patience, and polite attitude.

Work Conditions



Fixed or Rotational shifts based on hospital requirements. Front Office team may be rotated between

Billing

and

Enquiry

counters. Constant interaction with patients, doctors, and internal departments.

Benefits
