Role Overview
The Front Office Associate provides a warm first impression for guests, manages basic front?desk tasks, and supports the team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests on arrival, verify identity and handle check?in procedures.
- Assist with reservations, amendments and cancellations in the property management system.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, directing them to the appropriate department when needed.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness and handle any immediate guest concerns.
- Process payments, issue receipts and handle petty cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, occupancy and daily logs.
- Perform end?of?shift duties including cash reconciliation and handover notes.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 1?year of front?desk experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a 5?star or boutique environment.
- Proven experience of 1?2?years in a Front Office Associate role with a 5?star hotel such as Oberoi, Taj, ITC, Marriott, Post Card, Hyatt, Hilton and likewise.
- Strong command of English; knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
Educational Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
- A bachelor's degree is a plus but not mandatory.
