Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Answer questions, provide directions, and handle inquiries.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Scheduling and record-keeping:
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
Maintain and update patient records accurately in the system.
Manage the check-in and check-out processes for patients.
Assist with patient admissions and discharge processes.
Communication and administration:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments.
Coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure patient needs are met.
Handle administrative tasks like filing, faxing, and photocopying.
Billing and insurance:
Verify patient insurance information.
Handle billing and co-payments.
Assist patients with insurance and other necessary paperwork.
Patient support:
Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
