JOB OPENING: FRONT OFFICE ASSOCIATE The opening is for the role of Front Office Associate at Umed Bhawan Palace, Kotah - a heritage hotel in Kota, Rajasthan, India Prerequisites Hotel Management Degree (Bachelors or Masters) is a mandatory requirement Min. 1-2 years work experience in a hotel English: effective speaking, writing, and reading Hindi: effective speaking, writing, and reading Key Tasks, Responsibilities & Requirements Ensuring that the guests are offered the highest level of personalized service at all times. Report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and ensure follow up with guests. To check and update the allocation of rooms for all guests and follow up on the special requirements requested by the guests. To maintain a regular contact with long stay and suite guests to ensure their stays are an enjoyable one. Working Knowledge of Computer software to manage bookings (Opera or other comparable) Awareness of market competition, market trends, and market positioning Comfortable working with MS Office and other computer Skills Awareness of ongoing hotel activities and a proper handover of the pending points for next shift\'s follow up and action is crucial. To be aware of all hotel services, facilities, and promotions, and knowledgeable of upselling techniques. Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with colleagues and all other departments Full support of department seniors and of other team members is essential. Must be willing to take on other assignments from time to time. Maintain a high standard of grooming and hygiene at all times About the Property Umed Bhawan Palace, Kotah is a heritage hotel owned and operated by the Royal Family of Kotah . The property was operated by ITC Hotels (under the WelcomHeritage brand) up to March 2022. The Palace was completed in 1904 in the Indo-Saracenic style by HH Maharao Umed Singh Il, designed and built by the celebrated architect Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. It is surrounded by greenery - making it an oasis of calm within the confines of the city, while still being very centrally located. Umed Bhawan Palace currently has 32 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, multiple banquet halls. Kota is a 5.5 hour drive from Delhi, 3.5 hours drive from Jaipur & Udaipur, and is extremely well connected by rail.
