Greet and welcome guests and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information on services, facilities, and local attractions, and promptly address any inquiries, requests, or complaints.
Check-in and check-out procedures:
Handle guest registration and check-in by verifying information, processing payments, and issuing room keys or access cards. Facilitate the check-out process, settle bills, and ensure a seamless departure.
Reservations and communication:
Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, manage email correspondence, and relay messages to staff and guests.
Administrative tasks:
Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries and perform general clerical duties like data entry and filing.
Cash handling and billing:
Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions. For hotel positions, this includes managing cash floats and preparing bills for guests.
Coordination and support:
Work with other departments, such as housekeeping, maintenance, and concierge, to ensure guest requests are met and operations run smoothly.
Maintaining the front desk area:
Keep the reception area tidy, presentable, and well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
Safety and security:
Follow all security procedures and protocols, including monitoring visitor logs and managing access to the building.
