Job Summary



The Front Office Assistant is responsible for providing efficient, courteous, and professional service to guests during check-in, stay, and check-out. The role ensures smooth front office operations, maintains guest satisfaction, and upholds the service standards of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services



Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously. Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions in and around Trivandrum. Assist with transportation arrangements, tour bookings, and other concierge services.

Front Office Operations



Operate the Property Management System (PMS) for reservations, billing, and guest record updates. Manage room assignments, key control, and maintain accurate occupancy data. Ensure all check-in/check-out formalities and billing procedures are completed accurately. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments for room readiness and service requests.

Communication & Coordination

Handle telephone calls, emails, and messages efficiently and professionally. Maintain a daily log of guest feedback, incidents, and operational updates. Liaise with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.

Cashiering & Billing



Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately. Prepare daily reports, summaries, and cash tallies as required.

Qualifications & Skills



Education:



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred. +2 ./ Diploma / degree with experience in relevant field

Experience:



1-3 years of front office or customer service experience in a hotel or hospitality setting (experience in a 3-star or similar facility preferred).

Skills:



Excellent communication in English and Malayalam (Hindi/Tamil an added advantage). Proficient in MS Office and hotel PMS software preferred Strong customer service orientation, grooming, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Pleasant personality, courteous demeanor, and attention to detail.

Work Schedule



Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays. Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, or night shifts as per hotel operations.

Competitive salary as per industry standards, with additional benefits such as meals, uniforms, and incentives.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
