Summary:

Take one of the most innovative educational technology brands to the next level by becoming part of
our rapidly growing organization. We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in modern frontend technologies. As a Front-End Engineer at Curriculum Associates,
you will play a key role in building and supporting exciting content management applications. You will work as part of a team designing and delivering rich web based experiences.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

1. Develop software enhancements in collaboration with product owners and senior engineers.
2. Develop robust software with design guidance from senior engineers accounting for seamless
user experience at scale.
3. Operate with a continuous improvement mindset leveraging feedback loops such as code
reviews and state-of-the-art code quality and productivity tools.
4. Develop automated unit and integration tests to accompany all application code.
5. Contribute ideas and effort to improve the efficiency of our software development lifecycle.
6. Contribute to code maintainability by addressing technical debt and defects.
7. Communicate clearly and consistently to ensure seamless progress on shared team goals.
8. Engage in proactive learning to improve functional as well as technical knowledge.

Required Job Skills and Abilities:

1. Strong communication skills.
2. A strong desire for self-development demonstrated by academic or industry achievements.
3. Experience with the following technologies: TypeScript (JavaScript), React, CSS
4. Experience with any of the following technologies is an advantage: Node, SQL (MySQL), GraphQL (Apollo)
5. Previous experience in building responsive web applications calling backend service APIs.
6. Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
7. Familiarity with AI Coding tools such as Github Copilot or Cursor AI

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's in computer science preferred
2. Experience with web application development as a co-op software engineer or intern.
