This role blends front-desk coordination, patient communication, and basic pharmacy support. You'll greet patients, manage appointments and calls, and assist in dispensing prescribed medicines accurately under the doctor's supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and guide patients with empathy and professionalism.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up calls.
Handle inbound/outbound calls for reports, medicine refills, and lab follow-ups.
Dispense prescribed medicines and explain dosage schedules clearly to patients.
Maintain medicine stock register -- update receipts, issues, and expiry details.
Coordinate with pharmacy vendor for replenishment and pricing updates.
Record daily patient billing, cash, and digital payments.
Support wellness program outreach (SMS, WhatsApp, or camp follow-ups).
Keep the reception and pharmacy counters clean, organized, and audit-ready.
Qualifications
Graduate or Diploma in any stream (Pharmacy or allied health preferred).
1-2 years of experience in hospital/clinic front-office or pharmacy setting.
Good command of Tamil and English; Hindi or local dialect is an added advantage.
Basic computer literacy; familiarity with EMR or billing software preferred.
Detail-oriented, patient-friendly, and trustworthy in handling cash and medicines.
