As a Front Desk Executive, you will manage the patient flow and administrative operations of the hospital's entrance. Your role is to provide exceptional customer service, ensure accurate patient registration, manage scheduling, and handle initial billing inquiries, all while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Registration:
Greet patients, collect demographic information, and ensure all digital and physical records are updated accurately in the Hospital Management System (HMS).
Appointment Management:
Coordinate schedules for multiple departments, manage doctor availability, and handle cancellations or rescheduling.
Insurance & Billing:
Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and collect co-pays or deposits at the time of service.
Communication Hub:
Manage a high volume of incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate departments, and handle emergency communications according to protocol.
Patient Advocacy:
Act as a guide for patients and their families, providing directions, explaining hospital policies, and addressing concerns or complaints with patience.
Compliance:
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital privacy standards.
