Job Summary
The Front Desk Cashier is the first point of contact for clients/customers/guests and is responsible for handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, providing customer service, and supporting the front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Greet visitors/guests in a courteous, professional manner
Process payments (cash, credit/debit cards, checks, digital payments) and issue receipts
Post charges, refunds, and adjustments to customer/guest accounts
Reconcile daily/shift transactions and balance the cash drawer
Deposit cash or transfer funds according to company procedure
Resolve billing or payment discrepancies
Answer customer/guest inquiries related to billing, services, or general information
Assist with check?in / check?out (if applicable in hospitality)
Maintain neatness and organization of front desk / cashier area
Prepare reports (end-of-day, shifts, cash variance, etc.)
Follow all cash handling, security, and accounting policies
Liaise with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, accounting) for billing or account issues
May assist in training new cashiers or front desk staff
Perform light clerical duties (filing, data entry, phone calls)
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
