Job Description

Job Summary:

The French Teacher will be responsible for teaching the French language to students across assigned grades, fostering language proficiency, cultural understanding, and communication skills. The teacher will design engaging lessons, assess student progress, and promote a positive and interactive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach French to students as per the prescribed curriculum (ICSE/CBSE/School Board). Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with school standards. Introduce students to French culture, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar through interactive methods. Conduct oral and written assessments to evaluate student learning. Encourage participation in language-related activities, competitions, and cultural events. Maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful and inclusive environment. Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding progress. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and grades. Collaborate with other language and subject teachers to enhance interdisciplinary learning. Attend school meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher interactions as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in French / Foreign Languages / Literature or equivalent. Certification in French language proficiency (DELF/DALF, Alliance Francaise, etc.) preferred. Prior teaching experience in a school environment preferred. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for teaching and ability to motivate students. Creativity in designing engaging and interactive lessons.
