Job Overview

D Y Patil International School, Worli, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified

French Teacher

to teach

Grades 3 to 7

across the school. The teacher will deliver engaging foreign language instruction aligned with

international curricula (Cambridge / IB)

, focusing on building strong foundational language skills and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective French lessons for

Grades 3 to 7

. Develop students

listening, speaking, reading, and writing

skills in French. Introduce age-appropriate French vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structures. Use interactive teaching strategies such as games, role-play, songs, stories, and digital tools. Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress. Maintain accurate academic records and student reports. Encourage appreciation of

French culture, traditions, and global perspectives

. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with grade-level teachers and curriculum coordinators. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress. Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development programs. Adhere to school policies, safeguarding, and child protection guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in

French / Foreign Languages / Education

Teaching qualification such as

B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent

preferred. International curriculum training (Cambridge / IB) is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum

2-4 years of teaching experience

, preferably teaching Grades 3-7. Experience in an

international or bilingual school

preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Strong command of the French language (spoken and written). Excellent pronunciation and communication skills. Creative and student-centered teaching approach.
