Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freight Purchaser to manage the sourcing and procurement of transportation services. The Freight Purchaser will be responsible for securing reliable carriers at competitive rates while ensuring service quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and onboard carriers for freight transportation Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers Monitor market conditions to secure cost-effective transportation solutions Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to meet shipping requirements Track carrier performance and resolve service issues Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies Maintain accurate records of rates, contracts, and carrier documentation Build and maintain long-term carrier relationships
Qualifications & Skills

Experience in freight purchasing, logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles Strong negotiation and analytical skills Knowledge of transportation modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal, etc.) Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficiency with TMS software and Microsoft Office Strong communication and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent; logistics or supply chain education is an asset
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with North American carriers Familiarity with freight rate benchmarking and market analysis

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
