Job Description

A freight forwarder is a person or company specialized in the management and coordination of international shipments of goods. Its main function is to organize the transportation of goods from the point of origin to their final destination, ensuring that the operation is carried out in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner.The freight forwarder acts as an intermediary in the freight logistics chain, connecting several key participants, such as producers, exporters, importers, shipping lines, airlines, land transport companies, warehouses, and customs, among others. Its role is essential to ensure smooth and efficient logistics in international trade.

Roles & Responsibilities:

? Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

? Considering & planning the most effective route for freight.

? Organising the transportation of freight between intermediate destinations- usually Cargo terminals, port facilities or railway yards.

? Tracking the movement of freight.

? Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

? Analyze costs associated with various transportation modes and routes to determine optimal pricing.

? Handling pricing for nomination business.

? Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer preferences.

? Prepare accurate and timely quotations for clients based on their specific requirements.

? Negotiate Rates with carriers, shipping lines and logistics partner to secure the best pricing.

? Coordinate with overseas agents.

? Follow up with existing clients for new business.

? Payment collection with the shipper.

? Coordinating with shipping line for Freight Rates & attending freight queries from shippers.

? Handling DAP

? Handling Custom Clearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Day shift Monday to Friday Morning shift
