Key Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and book freight with reliable carriers
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers
Negotiate competitive rates and maximize profit margins
Use load boards such as
DAT, Truckstop
, and internal TMS tools
Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and track shipments proactively
Resolve shipment issues and provide timely updates to clients
Maintain accurate documentation, rate confirmations, and records
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Generate new business opportunities and support account growth
Required Qualifications
1-3+ years of experience as a
Freight Broker / Logistics Coordinator
Strong knowledge of
US domestic freight operations
Excellent negotiation, communication, and sales skills
Experience working with load boards and TMS platforms
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Good organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting
Preferred Skills
Existing carrier or shipper network
Proven ability to close deals and manage multiple loads daily
Customer-focused mindset with strong follow-up skills
Experience handling dry van, reefer, or flatbed freight
