Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Freight Broker

to coordinate and manage the movement of freight between shippers and carriers. Working early morning hours from

5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

, you'll ensure timely pickups and deliveries, negotiate rates, and maintain positive relationships with clients and carriers. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys solving problems on the go.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between shippers and carriers to secure transportation of goods Source, onboard, and maintain a network of reliable carriers Negotiate freight rates and ensure profitability on each load Schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight Track and monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers Resolve issues or delays in transit, including coordinating with drivers and dispatch Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal transportation regulations Build and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships Use transportation management software (TMS) to manage orders and generate reports

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a freight broker, dispatcher, or in a logistics role (1-3 years preferred) Strong negotiation and communication skills Familiarity with TMS software and load boards Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of transportation regulations and documentation High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree a plus)
