Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Freight Broker

to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for matching shippers with freight carriers, negotiating rates, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient supply chain operations and building long-term relationships with clients and transportation providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the liaison between shippers and carriers to facilitate efficient freight movement. Develop and maintain a network of carriers to ensure reliable transportation capacity. Negotiate shipping rates and terms with both shippers and carriers to achieve competitive pricing and profitability. Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules and track freight to ensure timely and safe transport. Manage shipment documentation including contracts, bills of lading, and other required forms. Monitor freight markets and stay informed about trends, pricing, and regulatory changes. Resolve transportation problems, delays, and customer complaints professionally and efficiently.

Qualifications:

High school diploma ; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 6 Month of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with freight software and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, TMS platforms). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
