Key responsibilities

Review and select the best shots from raw footage. Use editing software to cut, splice, and arrange video clips into a coherent story. Integrate and edit audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects. Add and create graphics, titles, and special effects. Collaborate with directors and creative teams to understand project goals and incorporate feedback. Ensure continuity and flow throughout the video. Perform color correction and adjust lighting as needed. Prepare final cuts and deliver projects by their deadlines. Organize and maintain video files and libraries.

Required skills and qualifications

Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Strong understanding of video editing principles, including storytelling, pacing, and continuity. Knowledge of audio editing and mixing. Familiarity with graphic design and special effects is often a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A strong eye for visual detail.
