Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

Freelance Photo Editor

with strong retouching expertise. The ideal candidate must be proficient in high-end product and skin retouching, colour correction, and maintaining consistent visual style across projects. You should have a sharp eye for detail, understand lighting and aesthetics, and be able to deliver high-quality edits within timelines. Experience in adapting visuals for social media will be a bonus.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Photo Editor:

Editing & High-End Retouching:

Process RAW files and perform detailed retouching--colour balance, skin retouching, cleaning backgrounds, removing distractions, product shine control, and maintaining natural textures.

Product Retouching Expertise:

Clean up surfaces, ensure accurate colours, remove dust/scratches, enhance materials (fabric, metal, glass), and match brand tone.

Fashion Retouching:

Maintain realistic skin texture, correct tones, refine details, and enhance overall image quality without over-editing.

Consistency Checks:

Ensure all edited images follow brand guidelines and maintain uniformity across sets, campaigns, or catalogue shoots.

Organised File Handling:

Maintain proper naming, folder structure, RAW backups, and export formats as per workflow guidelines.

Social Media Adaptation:

Prepare images for social media formats, web, and digital use while following platform-specific aesthetics.

Communication & Revisions:

Coordinate with the senior photographer or studio team for feedback, revisions, and timely delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience as a

photo editor/retoucher

(portfolio required). Strong proficiency in

Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

. Excellent understanding of

colour theory, skin tones, textures, and product detailing

. Ability to maintain

quality and speed

under tight deadlines. Strong understanding of

visual aesthetics and brand consistency

. Familiarity with exporting images for

web, print, and social media

. Reliable, professional, and responsive communication.

Education:

Not mandatory. Minimum

2 years of retouching/editing experience

required.
