Freelance ICD-10 Coder (2-Months)

Key Responsibilities

Review, validate, and audit ICD-10 codes assigned by the AI software across diverse clinical scenarios. Flag inaccuracies, discrepancies, and edge-case patterns for iterative model refinement. Maintain high coding precision aligned with international coding standards and payer guidelines. Provide structured feedback, annotation notes, and error typology classifications to support model training. Collaborate asynchronously with the product and data science teams to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with privacy, data-handling, and confidentiality requirements.

Core Requirements

ICD-10 certification (mandatory). Minimum 5 years of hands-on medical coding experience in hospitals, TPAs, RCM firms, or healthcare BPOs. Strong understanding of diagnostic coding logic, coding hierarchy, exclusions/inclusions, and documentation improvement practices. Ability to analyze AI-generated outputs with consistency, speed, and high accuracy. Familiarity with EMR/EHR workflows preferred. * High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
