Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally knowledgeable and talented Freelance Content Writer to bring the story of our fabrics and craftsmanship to life. This role is highly specialized and requires an individual with a deep, technical, and passionate understanding of textiles. You will be responsible for creating compelling, detailed, and authentic content that educates our customers and elevates the value of our high-quality garments.

Key Responsibilities

Product Description Writing:

Craft detailed, engaging, and SEO-friendly product descriptions for new arrivals, accurately detailing the fabric (e.g., weave, blend, feel, drape), embroidery techniques (e.g., Zardozi, Kantha, French Knot), and traditional textile origins (e.g., Mulchanderi, Tussar Silk).

Fabric and Craftsmanship Storytelling:

Develop long-form content (blog posts, website articles) that delves into the history, production process, and unique characteristics of the specialized fabrics and techniques used in Sayora's collections.

Brand Communication:

Ensure all written content maintains Sayora's premium, elegant, and sophisticated brand voice.

Editing and Quality Control:

Review and edit existing content for technical accuracy regarding textile and craft terminology.

Social Media Copy:

Create engaging, concise, and informative captions for social media (Instagram, Facebook) that highlight fabric qualities and garment details.

Required Qualifications (Strictly Non-Negotiable)

Educational Background:

Must possess a certification or degree from a recognized institution in

Textile Design, Fashion Technology, or Fashion Communication

(e.g., NIFT, NID, or a university-level textile course).

Expert Fabric Knowledge:

Demonstrable, in-depth, and technical knowledge of a wide range of natural and blended Indian textiles (Silk variants, Linen, Organza, Cotton, Rayon, Khadi, etc.), including their properties, care instructions, and specific regional variations.

Expertise in Indian Crafts:

Strong familiarity with traditional Indian embroidery, weaving, and printing techniques (e.g., Bandhej, Kalamkari, Chikankari, Kantha, different types of handwork).

Exceptional Writing Skills:

Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, grammatically flawless, and engaging marketing copy.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience writing for a premium or luxury Indian fashion/textile brand. Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce content. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
