Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst with SQL Expertise
1. Overview: The FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes. The objective of this role is to provide insights and recommendations through advanced financial modeling techniques and data analysis, leveraging SQL for data extraction and manipulation to inform strategic decisions.
2. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain detailed financial forecasts and budgets in collaboration with finance leadership.
• Analyze financial performance and variances, providing actionable insights to drive business improvements.
• Develop and automate financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets to support financial metrics and KPIs.
• Perform scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts of business decisions on financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and financial decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, clearly articulating financial concepts and analysis.

3. Technical Skills:

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including modeling techniques and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with financial modeling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and budgeting methodologies.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

4. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or FP&A roles.
• Proven experience working with SQL and large data sets.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

5. Skills & Experience:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex financial information.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-driven.
• Experience in developing financial models and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
