to lead and oversee our cast iron foundry operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production, quality, manpower, and process improvements to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily foundry operations including melting, molding, pouring, fettling, and heat treatment.
Plan production schedules and ensure timely delivery of castings.
Monitor input weight, finish weight, yield, and scrap levels for cost optimization.
Ensure adherence to quality standards (IS/ASTM/Customer specifications).
Manage manpower, training, and safety compliance.
Coordinate with machine shop for machining allowances and finished part requirements.
Drive process improvements, reduce rejection rates, and enhance productivity.
Maintain records, documentation, and reporting for management review.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering (preferred).
10-15 years of experience in cast iron/SG iron foundry operations.
Strong knowledge of foundry processes, quality systems, and cost control.
Leadership skills with ability to manage teams and meet production targets.
