Job Description

A Foundry Process Control Engineer designs, monitors, and optimizes metal casting processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, requiring expertise in metallurgy and process control, proficiency in data analysis and simulation software, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field. Key responsibilities include analyzing production data, troubleshooting equipment, developing standard operating procedures, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization:


Develop, analyze, and refine metal casting processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Data Analysis:



Monitor and analyze production data using statistical process control (SPC) to ensure processes remain within specified parameters.

Troubleshooting:



Identify and resolve process-related issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

Documentation:



Create and maintain detailed documentation of all process procedures, adjustments, and results.

Quality Assurance:



Collaborate with quality control departments to ensure that all cast products meet established quality standards.

Equipment Management:



Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of foundry equipment and systems.

Safety & Compliance:



Ensure all processes adhere to industry-specific safety and environmental protection standards.

Collaboration:



Work closely with design, production, and maintenance teams to integrate findings and improve techniques.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:


A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.

Industry Experience:


Practical experience in foundry operations, metal casting, and related manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in process control strategies and statistical process control (SPC). Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation software for metal casting processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

Additional Certifications:


Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience in process improvement is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
