Job Description

We are seeking a

skilled and experienced Pattern and Method Engineer

who can independently handle casting development from concept to production. The candidate must have a deep understanding of

pattern design, moulding processes, and methoding.

Candidates having experience with pump parts such as impeller, casing, volutes, etc is a plus.

Key Responsibilities & Roles:

Methoding & Design:

Develop and design complete casting methoding (gating, risering, chills) for

iron and steel castings

. Optimize methods to minimize & eliminate all defects like shrinkage, porosity, and misruns. Perform

accurate casting weight calculations

for cost estimation and pattern development.

Pattern Development:

Coordinate with pattern makers to develop or modify patterns as per methoding. Inspect patterns and core boxes for dimensional accuracy and compatibility with moulding line. Guide pattern storage, identification, and standardization processes.

Moulding & Production Support:

Work closely with the moulding department to ensure

method implementation on the shop floor

. Select suitable moulding processes based on casting requirements. Provide on-site support during pouring and resolve process-related issues.

Quality & Process Improvement:

Investigate casting defects and work on corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformities and implement process improvements. Maintain method cards, documentation, and casting quality records.

CAD:

Prepare and analyze 2D/3D models using

AutoCAD

,

CREO

, and

SolidWorks

. Generate accurate layout drawings for pattern and core box manufacturing.

Simulation (Plus Point):

Work with

casting simulation software

(e.g., MAGMA, ProCAST) to validate methoding and optimize yield.

Cross-functional Coordination:

Collaborate with quality, design, and production teams for smooth execution of casting projects. Attend customer technical discussions for development projects and provide methoding insights. Maintain up-to-date documentation for patterns, methods, and simulations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
