Foundry - Core Shop Engineer 1 (Manual) (FD31MFGR1601)

Purpose of the role

Create manufacturing capacity on time by periodically forecasting customer needs and linking to the overall master plan. Deliver customer schedules with optimal inventory and cost by applying ACME & TQM manufacturing practices . Improve delivery and quality by low cost automation and adopting new technologies. Responsible for Deriving & Achieving Functional Actions to Achieve Functional Objectives in turn to Achieve Divisional Objectives Responsible for 100 % Availability of Quality Prepared Sand for the Targeted Production Responsible for Productivity & Quality Improvement thro' ACME & TQM Initiatives

Roles & Responsibilities

Organize man power according to the shift plan Ensure Calibration of all Testing Equipment Responsible for Man Power Arrangements / Distribution in co-ordination with Industrial Relationship Monitoring and Controlling of In-coming Raw Material Quality for Sand Plant in co-ordination with Quality Control & Supply Chain Management Monitoring and Controlling of Prepared Sand Properties as per the Specification Responsible for Casting Rejection Reduction as per the Specified Policy Deployment Target Identify new technologies to achieve the emerging needs and prepare plans for development and deployment Identify opportunities for low-cost automation and prepare a master-plan Adhere SOP's in all area / activities On the Job Training & Process Training to Operators along with effectiveness monitoring, re-training, if required Responsible for My Machine Steps in co-ordination with TPM to achieve Zero Break Down Responsible for GreenCo & TQM Implementation and Sustenance for Continual Improvement * Adherance to ISO & EOHS Systems
