Job Title: R & D Formulator

Qualification: -

. Formulation Development (F&D):

Develop formulations for tablets, capsules, and ointments based on project requirements.

B. Documentation & Compliance:

Prepare

Master Formula Records (MFR), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packaging Records (BPR)

. Prepare

Product Development Reports (PDR)

and

technology transfer documents

. Ensure all documents comply with

cGMP, WHO, and regulatory guidelines

.

C. Technology Transfer (TT):

Coordinate with the

Production and QA

teams for smooth technology transfer. Provide guidance during

pilot batches, scale-up

and commercial manufacturing. Handle troubleshooting during production.

D. Stability Studies:

Design and monitor

stability studies

as per ICH guidelines. Analyze results and propose corrective actions.

E. Analytical Support:

Coordinate with the

QC / ARD department

for analytical method development and validation. Interpret analytical results to support formulation optimization.

F. Regulatory Support:

Assist in preparing

regulatory dossiers

(CTD/ACTD). Prepare documents required for

export registration

, product submissions, and audits.

G. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for

cost reduction

, process enhancement, and quality improvement. Implement

Q. b D (Quality by Design)

and

DoE

principles when required.

2. Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

OSD (Tablets & Capsules)

and

Semi-solid (Ointment)

formulation. Good understanding of

GMP, ICH, WHO, and regulatory guidelines

. Ability to work on

granulation, compression, coating, capsule filling, ointment mixing & filling machines

. Knowledge of

analytical techniques

, dissolution, HPLC basics (preferred). Strong documentation and reporting skills. Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills. Conduct

pre-formulation studies

, compatibility studies, and excipient selection. Optimize

granulation

, compression, coating, capsule filling & ointment manufacturing processes. Prepare

trial batches

, scale-up batches and validation batches.
