Job Description

Operating the forklift:

Safely driving and maneuvering a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials and merchandise.

Inspecting and maintenance:

Performing daily checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order and reporting any issues to supervisors.

Loading and unloading:

Loading and unloading materials from vehicles like trucks, rail cars, and cargo ships.

Material handling:

Stacking materials in designated storage areas, consolidating partial pallets, and ensuring loads are stable and centered.

Inventory management:

Using wireless RF scanning equipment to track inventory, performing cycle counts, and documenting the movement and storage of goods.

Order fulfillment:

Picking, wrapping, and staging orders for shipment and verifying that the correct products are being prepared for delivery.

Safety compliance:

Adhering to all safety regulations and company guidelines to maintain a safe work area for themselves and others.

Record keeping:

Completing forms, handling documentation, and maintaining production records.
