Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support our process operations within the Ferro Alloys production unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and transporting raw materials, finished products, and other goods within the plant using forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Load and unload materials such as manganese, silicon, or other ferro alloys from trucks and storage areas. Transport materials to designated production areas and assist with material feeding to furnaces or other processing equipment. Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and product handling. Conduct pre-operational inspections of the forklift and report any issues or required maintenance. Ensure all materials are handled without contamination and in accordance with quality and safety standards. Support plant housekeeping and 5S initiatives. Follow safety protocols, including PPE use and hazard awareness. Assist in other plant duties as required, including minor maintenance and process support tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift certification/license required. 2+ years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with handling raw materials in metallurgical or ferro alloy plants is a plus. Good understanding of workplace safety practices. Ability to work in high-temperature, dusty, or noisy environments. Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

Physically demanding work including lifting, standing, and operating heavy equipment. Exposure to heat, dust, and industrial noise. Rotating shifts or weekend work may be required.
