A

Forklift Mechanic

is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts and other material-handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on forklifts (electric, propane, diesel, and gasoline) Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Repair or replace faulty parts such as brakes, steering systems, engines, batteries, and hydraulic components Troubleshoot electrical systems, controllers, and wiring Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as needed Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools Familiarity with electric and internal combustion forklifts Good problem-solving and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license (CDL may be a plus) Technical certification or vocational training preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy components Stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environments
Work Environment

Warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, or field service locations May require overtime or on-call availability

Pay: ?22,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
