Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Duties

Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all items are correctly selected for shipping. Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks with heavy lifting as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards and protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills

Proficient in order picking techniques and materials handling processes. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking. Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance. Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a distribution center environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Skilled in operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Knowledge of safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse practices.
