Job Description

Job Purpose

To safely operate forklift equipment for handling, loading, unloading, and movement of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods within the OE textile mill premises.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling

Transport cotton, waste, cones, yarn packages, and finished goods to designated areas. Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage locations.

Safe Forklift Operation

Operate forklift as per safety guidelines and factory rules. Ensure proper stacking of materials to avoid damage or accidents.

Inventory Support

Assist stores team in material identification, lot-wise movement, and FIFO compliance. Support inward and outward material movements as per instructions.

Equipment Care & Maintenance

Conduct daily checks of forklift condition (brakes, horn, tyres, battery/fuel). Report any breakdowns, damages, or safety issues immediately.

Quality & Damage Control

Handle materials carefully to prevent contamination or damage to yarn and cotton. Follow clean handling practices inside production and storage areas.

Documentation & Coordination

Maintain basic movement records or log books as required. Coordinate with production, stores, and dispatch teams.

Compliance & Safety

Follow safety norms, PPE usage, and statutory guidelines. Comply with company rules, standing orders, and instructions from supervisors.
Skills & Competencies

Valid Forklift Driving License / Authorization Knowledge of industrial safety practices Ability to handle materials carefully Basic reading and understanding of instructions
Qualification

Minimum 8th / 10th Standard (preferred)
Experience

1-5 years of experience as Forklift Driver in a textile mill / industrial environment
Working Conditions

Shift-based duty Factory shop floor and warehouse environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
