Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies. This role involves designing, developing, and improving products through effective problem-solving and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve engineering issues effectively. Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing and modelling components and systems. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to enhance automation processes. Create and interpret schematics for various engineering projects. Apply mechanical knowledge in the fabrication of parts and tooling for production. Implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in designs to ensure precision. Oversee plastics injection moulding processes, ensuring quality and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. Collaborate with assembly teams to optimise product assembly processes. Engage in welding tasks as required for project completion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Proven experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, fabrication techniques, and tooling design. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous. Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.
