We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Foreman with a strong background in railway construction and maintenance. The Civil Foreman will be responsible for supervising, managing, and coordinating daily operations at the railway construction site to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Coordination:
Supervise and direct construction workers, ensuring that tasks are completed according to project specifications.
Ensure that work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for project execution.
Project Management:
Oversee day-to-day activities on the railway construction site, ensuring progress aligns with the project schedule.
Monitor and report on work progress, including any delays, issues, or deviations from the planned schedule.
Assist in the planning and execution of civil works related to railway tracks, embankments, bridges, tunnels, stations, and other infrastructure.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to company and regulatory safety standards.
Conduct daily safety checks and address any potential hazards on-site.
Ensure all work complies with the environmental and regulatory guidelines relevant to railway construction.
Quality Control:
Inspect the quality of work on-site to ensure it meets the standards set by the company and regulatory bodies.
Ensure that materials used in the construction process are of high quality and meet project specifications.
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of skilled and unskilled workers.
Provide training and mentorship to junior workers and new team members.
Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skills and work requirements.
Material Management:
Ensure the timely availability of required materials for construction work.
Maintain records of materials used and report any discrepancies to the project manager.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, manpower, and material usage.
Submit regular reports on site progress, issues, and achievements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve any construction-related issues on-site, such as delays, worker concerns, or material shortages.
Provide on-site solutions to keep the project on track.
Key Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in railway construction projects, with expertise in managing civil works related to railway infrastructure.
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Skills:
Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of railway construction, including track laying, earthworks, bridges, tunnels, and station infrastructure.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
