Job Summary:



The Foreign Trade Executive is responsible for managing international trade operations including export and import documentation, compliance with government regulations, and coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international clients. This role ensures smooth execution of global shipments and supports the company's growth in international markets.

Key Responsibilities:



Export & Import Documentation:

Prepare and manage all pre- and post-shipment documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other export-import documents as per country-specific requirements.

Coordination with Logistics & Freight Partners:


Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.

Customs Clearance:


Ensure compliance with customs regulations and manage documentation required for smooth clearance.Stay updated with EXIM policies, international trade laws, DGFT guidelines, and foreign trade documentation procedures.Communicate with overseas clients and buyers regarding order status, shipping schedules, and documentation requirements.Apply for export incentives like MEIS/RODTEP, advance licenses, EPCG licenses, and coordinate with DGFT authorities.Coordinate with banks for Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, export proceeds realization, and negotiation of shipping documents.Maintain and update export-import records, shipment status reports, and documentation logs.Correct classification of products with HS codes and ensure accuracy in export declarations.

Bachelor's degree in International Business, Commerce, or related field (MBA preferred). 2-5 years of experience in international trade, export-import operations, or logistics. Sound knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, and trade compliance. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and online export-import portals (e.g., ICEGATE, DGFT). Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and understanding of international business processes.
