The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, supervising hygiene practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting production teams to achieve consistent, safe, and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control:
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols.
Conduct routine checks on raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards.
Maintain and review batch records, production logs, and quality control reports.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, HACCP, and other regulatory standards.
Oversee sanitation, personal hygiene, and factory cleanliness practices.
Train staff on hygiene, safety, and good manufacturing practices.
Product Development & Improvement:
Assist in developing new products and improving existing ones based on market requirements.
Work with the production team to enhance shelf life, taste, packaging, and efficiency.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
Ensure timely preparation of regulatory documents (FSSAI, lab test reports, certifications, etc.).
Coordinate with external labs for product testing when required.
Production & Process Support:
Support production teams in maintaining process control and minimizing deviations.
Monitor critical control points to ensure product consistency.
Identify areas for process optimization to reduce wastage and improve yields.
Audits & Inspections:
Conduct internal audits and prepare the factory for third-party, client, or regulatory inspections.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in case of non-compliances.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of food safety, quality management systems, and compliance standards.
Excellent understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO, and FSSAI regulations.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
Ability to train, guide, and enforce hygiene & quality standards among workers.
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality production.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in food manufacturing/quality control/food safety.
Hands-on experience with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI standards.
