The Food Technologist will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining food products in line with company standards and regulatory guidelines. The role involves ensuring quality, safety, innovation, and consistency across all FMCG product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and test new food products, recipes, and formulations.
Improve existing products for better taste, texture, and shelf life.
Conduct research on raw materials, packaging, and preservation methods.
Ensure all products comply with FSSAI and other food safety regulations.
Work closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams.
Maintain proper documentation for trials, formulations, and testing reports.
Monitor food processing and production operations for quality control.
Support packaging innovations and cost optimization projects.
Evaluate suppliers and assist in sourcing new raw materials.
Conduct sensory evaluations and prepare product evaluation reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Biotechnology or related field.
Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing technology.
Experience in product development and quality control in FMCG.
Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and FSSAI standards.
Analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in MS Office and report documentation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Industry Experience:
Bakery, Confectionery, Dairy, Snacks, Beverages, or Ready-to-Eat Food Manufacturing.
