Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process products, finished products, and environmental samples.

Identify and quantify fungus, yeast, mold, and bacterial pathogens (e.g.,

E. coli

,

Salmonella

,

Staphylococcus aureus

,

Yeast & Mold count

*, etc.).

Maintain and monitor microbial load limits as per FSSAI/ISO standards.

Perform swab tests (surface, equipment, personnel hygiene).

Prepare microbiological media, culture maintenance, and plating techniques.

Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, FSMS, and internal SOPs.

Monitor CCP/OPRP points on the production floor.

Conduct quality checks for ingredients, intermediates, and finished goods.

Maintain accurate test records, logbooks, and micro-lab documentation.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA reports.

Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices throughout the plant.

Qualification:

B.Sc / M.Sc in food n technology or food microbiology ( mandatory )

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in QA/Microbiology/Food technology,

FRESHERs are welcome

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of fungus and bacterial identification methods.

Hands-on experience with microbiological lab equipment (incubators, pH meter, colony counter, laminar airflow).

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, FSMS, FSSAI regulations.

Soft Skills:

Good communication and reporting skills.

Eye for detail and strong observation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
