The Service Captain is responsible for supervising the front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth guest service, maintaining hygiene standards, and leading a team of servers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily front-of-house (FOH) operations.
Train, guide, and manage service staff (servers, order takers).
Ensure service standards, order accuracy, and timely delivery.
Address guest queries, complaints, and special requests promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per cafe SOPs.
Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth order flow and reduce wait times.
Monitor inventory of disposables, packaging, and service-related materials.
Prepare basic reports (sales, feedback, shift handover, etc.).
Skills Required:
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Customer-oriented mindset
Basic knowledge of POS systems and order tracking
Familiarity with cafe menus (burgers, pizzas, coffee, mocktails)
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
