A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Their duties include washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper sanitation standards are followed. They assist chefs and service staff by organizing storage areas, collecting and disposing of waste, and replenishing supplies when needed. Stewards also support food preparation tasks, maintain hygiene in all work areas, and follow safety procedures. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent guest service in restaurants, hotels, or catering establishments.
